Who we are
“Ponsonby Chambers” is founded by Tanya Dunstan, an experienced self represented litigant who has had to navigate the judicial system for her own survival. The contents shared on this site are the accumulation of nearly 6 years of practical lived experience throughout the family court, district court, criminal court up to the high court court of appeal and supreme court- all information and resources are provided in good faith under s14 New Zealand Bill Of Rights Act 1990 to seek and impart information in the interests of justice and public safety.
Privacy
“Ponsonby Chambers” is committed to professional conduct including upholding the privacy of our members and upholding consumer rights and privacy rights under Privacy Act 2020 ensuring our site is secure and our members can gain access in confidence.
Media
If you upload images to the website such as your membership profile, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site or contact forms, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up automatically instead of holding actions required in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (excluding usernames and automated fields for membership access). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. [For obvious reasons deleting your contact details and billing information will render your membership void] This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Data may be checked through an automated spam detection service and screened through standard security software to ensure the safety of the site and all users.
